How much money will I need to travel the world for a year?

My partner and I are planning to do a world trip at the end of 2011 - probably one year travel and one year working. How much money do you think we will need to travel India, Asia, South America and USA for 12 months? We will be staying in budget accommodation and eating as cheaply as possible. Has anyone had any experience travelling for a long period? I would love to do Europe again as well - however I'm not sure if it can be done on a strict budget or not? Any advice would be much appreciated! :)|||I know most of SEA and South America you can get buy with food, accomidation, extras for around $50/day but that is scrounging. My best answer is for you to budget on $75/day as you will want to do extra excursions, side trips, etc. This of course does not include ticket prices. Enjoy though its worth it.|||Hi,


It is really long time journey.My maximum journey duration was five month and reached near $15000 including stay+ fares.If you will spent per day 20$ then it will reach 7300$ for a year and it will decrease if you will travel Asia.So I think budget will touch maximum 18000-20000$ including every thing.For more information you can check
