What is the cheapest way to travel from the us to japan to korea and back to the us?

During the summer after graduating high school, my friend and I are going to travel to japan and korea. I wanted to know if I should do a roundtrip and just travel from japan to korea by boat or is there a cheaper way?|||Walking is not a option. Swimming would do the trick. Might even get you into the record books. Otherwise there are rather cheap flights from Japan to Korea. That would be my choice of options. But if you are determined to save money, bring your swim suits.|||Most people's first choice is to seek discount air ticket.





Between Japan and Korea, It might be the cheapest to take a ferry boat, if you are staying somewhere in western part of Japan Hakata, Shimonoseki, Tottori, Hiroshima, Osaka area and/or Buzan area (Korea).

But, you need to remember that Tokyo-Osaka bullet train cost 14,000 yen, and no boat from Tokyo to Korea. Taking boat take longer time. If you are visiting Tokyo; you'd better seek a discount air ticket as I said.
