Hire a car|||it really depends on which city you want to go, and were in the cities you are planning to go. your best bet, since your going to be doing so much travel ins scotland, get a travel guide, they will tell you the best ways to get around the citys you choose to visit. there are bus services in all citys, but not usually a bus service to another city.

most of scotlands city centers are pretty good, and the popular area's or tourist area's you wont need a car, you would want to walk. but some places are quite big, it really depends on what you want to see, were your going. a hire car might be a good idea.|||Scotrail the rail company for Scotland has a number of different good value rover tickets such as the Freedom of Scotland Travelpass www.scotrail.co.uk
