we will be traveling from Dubrovnik in late august to Rome. Is there any suggestions other than flying for a good efficient way to travel between the two countries? Private Boat?|||You can take a boat from Dubrovnik to Bari (look in this website: http://ferries.amatori.com/ ). Then from Bari you can take a bus or a train to Rome (for the train look here: http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.js鈥?/a> )|||Other than flying, you can catch the ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari http://www.directferries.co.uk/dubrovnik鈥?/a> and take the train to Rome from there: http://www.directferries.co.uk/dubrovnik鈥?/a>
You might also want to check flights to compare: http://www.skyscanner.it/|||You could probably choose to take a cruise ship which will halt along major places along the shores...there are so many options available for this (sterlingvacations.com or vacationstogo.com...there are several more...please check the internet for this). You could also have fun with the entertainment in the cruise ship, and if you have not cruised before, it will be a different kind of an experience.|||Yeah, i think you'd better choose ferry, cause the single air ticket seems not cheap at all.
