What is the travel time between San Francisco and Mono Lake?

I am planning a weekend trip. One option is to bypass Yosemite altogether. Another is to travel through Yosemite and Tioga Pass, which is more scenic and appears more direct. Does anyone know the comparative length and duration of each route? Which would you recommend?|||I don't know the travel duration to go around Yosemite but it does appear that going through Yosemite is the most direct route and that is about 5.5 hours. The view in Yosemite is incredible and one that is worth seeing.
