How can I travel internationally with a computer monitor?

I am going to Brazil soon and I wish to take a specific computer monitor with me that is not available in Brazil. What is going to be the best way to travel with this item?|||Put it in a sturdy suitcase, wrap it up with your clothes and whatever you are traveling with that is soft. That is about it.

Done it, been there.|||use a hard shell suitcase and then make sure it isn't too much bigger than the monitor because you don't want it to slide around in there. Using clothes is ok, but I would use Styrofoam. You can get Styrofoam sheets online, some craft stores have styrofoam, you can cut it and shape it with a knife, a little messy. Something else for protection is use automotive foam there are upholstery stores open to the public, but it depends on your area.

Also, remember to take outlet converts and probably power transformer.
