How can i travel the world living different cultures like adventurers such as Bear Grylls and Bruce parry do?
I really want to travel the world, exploring different cultures and indigenous area's. I would love to do something like the adventurer's Bear Grylls and Bruce Parry do. I want to do that stuff because i love to be out in the open, especially seeing forest's and Mountain's.|||These guys were doing this for many years before they got the television gig. Bear Grylls spent three years with the British Special Forces and Bruce Parry attended Wells Cathedral School as a boarder between 1978 and 1987. After finishing at Wells, Parry was commissioned as a Royal Marine at the age of 18. Bruce Parry left the service as a lieutenant after six years. Both were experts at survival techniques long before they were commissioned for work by the Discovery Channel. Like most other television show series, someone decides on a format ( in this case it was surviving in areas most people don't even venture into ), and the search begins to find people who meet their criteria. There are hundreds of people who are likely qualified in the survival field, but you need a person that has the personality needed by the show. This will narrow down the choices greatly. There may have other "survivalists" more qualified, but they may not have wanted to allow someone else to place them in these situations for the sole purpose of hoping to make money for a television network. Unfortunately, these types of shows, like many others, become old and "have already been done", after a couple of years. Then the television networks move on to another subject. Most of the time, even the stars of these types of shows are ready for them to end also. We see a one hour show that likely took a month or two to film and edit. We don't see the many hours of filming where something went wrong, either for the main character or the film crew. These guys spend long periods of time away from their homes and families as they perform their "job duties". They soon get tired of having these "adventures" for the sole purpose of making a living. These shows are just like the "cooking" shows that were on for a few years. There's only so many ways the "average" person wants to be able to cook a steak! These shows are mostly for entertainment purposes. If you want to make a living doing this type of work, you should definitely look into some type of national armed services that employ these types of operations or training for the operations. Who knows, maybe in another 10 years or so, there will be another round of survival shows that will appear on the television, and we'll be watching AdrianK escaping from some snake infested jungle somewhere just in time to catch a ride on a helicopter! You're the only one that can make your dreams come true! Good luck!|||Get off your computer and get a TV show.
